Trying again
I REALLY want to be the kind of person who will write in her blog every few days or weekly or even twice a month! I am giving this a try again to do so. Funny, we are waiting for little man #2 to arrive any day. 4 kids under 6....that has to make for an interesting blog, right??
Lex has her first Level 2 practice tomorrow. THREE hours long twice a week. I know she can hack it and I can't wait to see her improve in leaps and bounds. I hope she loves gymnastics this much forever. I love watching her and see how much she absolutely loves it, even when she spends every waking moment upside down or flipping on the couch making me crazy!
Haidyn is dying to turn 4 in a couple months so she can take the musical theatre class. Or as she says, the class where I can sing and dance on the stage. Her latest performances for us include I'm Sexy and I know it and Big Poppa. That girl is a trip.
Bubba only has a few days left as the baby of the family. I can't believe it is almost time for him to be a BIG brudder. He will be 18 months in 2 days. Finally starting to talk a bit and nonstop getting into EVERYTHING. That smile and laugh, those dimples, can brighten anyone's day. Such a little lover boy <3

Little man has arrived!

Maxson Brody was born on Labor Day, September 5, 2011 at 10:40 am. He was 8 lbs 4 oz and 20.5 inches long. Unlike his bald sisters he has a head full of gorgeous blonde hair!
He is an awesome baby so far. So mellow and sweet and sleeps better than his sisters already! He is 2 weeks old today and I can't imagine that he hasn't been in our family all along. The girls adore him and have adjusted fabulously. My kids rock!

38 weeks 5 days
My motherly instincts were definitely way off in regards to this pregnancy. First off, I was ABSOLUTELY SURE this baby was another girl. There was no doubt in my mind. Although I have seen the goods a couple times extremely clear on the ultrasounds I will not be totally convinced until he arrives. We picked a girl's name just in case....
His arrival was my next instinct gone wrong. For some reason I was totally sure he would be arriving early, likely about 37 weeks. I was kinda bummed because I really wanted a September baby, but on the other hand happy because he'd make the kindergarten cutoff date of September 1st. Clearly, we will not be having an August baby and he will be starting kindergarten in 2017, not 2016. Wow that seems like a long way off, but I'm sure will be here before we know it.
So we wait.....and now I am convinced I will need to be induced in order for him to make his appearance. Kinda hoping I go 0 for 3 in my predictions and he comes on his own, but we'll see in the next week.

Getting close
I'm 31 weeks 2 days today. Besides my gestational diabetes diagnosis everything is great. Just controlling it with diet and my sugars have been totally normal.
We separated the girls again into separate rooms last night. Lex has been sleeping like a champ and Haidyn has been loving torturing her sister so the 2 weren't a good combination in one room. Last night was their first night back in separate rooms and it was a great success! We all read together in Lex's room, then separate songs in separate rooms and they both went to sleep BY THEMSELVES! First time ever for Lex in 3 1/2 years. I really hope this is a permanent thing now with baby boy coming in less than 9 weeks.
Haidyn also turned 2 a couple weeks ago! I can't believe my baby girl is 2 already. We took the girls to The Florida Oceanographic Coastal Center where they got to feed stingrays and pet them, see sea turtles, fish, sharks, an octopus, etc and there were a few touch tanks to touch starfish and sea cucumbers, etc. When we were done we went to Fridays for a birthday lunch and they sang to her and brought ice cream! Then we had a small family party at home with us, grammy, pops, casey, gigi and aunt kami. We had pizza, one of Haidyn's favs, and I made her a butterfly cake to match her Abby Cadabby plates, cups, napkins, table cloths and hats. It was a great birthday!

A mover and shaker
This baby is an active little bugger! I am 17 weeks 2 days today and yesterday I felt kicks throughout the whole entire day. I'm wondering what it will be like when s/he gets bigger and can really beat me up! I didn't even feel anything but flutters with Lex until 19.5 weeks so I'm surprised how much activity I can feel in there already.
We have our big ultrasound set for April 27th. We thought it was going to be done at 18 weeks but instead they said we'd just do it at our 20 week appt. Ugh I'm so anxious to see our little one again and make sure all is well in there! Also dying to know if we have a he or a she! I was convinced it was a girl but so many people say on a daily basis that it is a boy they have me wondering now. I think everyone just wants us to experience a boy but I still have this feeling inside it is another little princess! We'll see in 22 days....hopefully! The baby better cooperate!

February in Florida

I am 11 1/2 weeks along and glad to see the 1st trimester coming to an end. I feel better and my energy is about back to normal. I had a head cold for a week which became a cough and I am still battling that another week later, but it is just an annoyance. The weather warmed significantly and we started hitting the pool and beach. The girls love it and I am looking forward to sitting my pregnant butt on the beach all summer. It is fabulous when we go to Jaycee Park and they can play independently in the shallow water while I can actually relax. This is the first summer in 3 years I can sit and watch and not have to chase the girls around every single second. Love it.
I am pretty sure I started feeling flutters at 10 weeks 1 day! SO early but I have felt it a number of times since and it certainly feels like it. I guess this is another active little one. I still feel like it is a girl and am looking forward to finding out. I go back to the OB next week and hear the heartbeat. I'm not sure what week they do the US at so we'll ask about that too. We have actually agreed on a girl name in the past few days and I can hardly believe it! We'll see if it lasts or we change our minds LOL And we still need a middle name...
